Wow... I would talk to the foreman on the phone before you even waste your time going there to get the car, have him personally drive the car on the highway again after getting the brakes to full operating temperature before they try to give it back to you to ensure the main issue is fixed. And not to call you about it being done until he has personally confirmed that it is actually fixed. Remind them that you are not their quality control guy... As for the tires, if they are continentals they can be more prone to the rubber shredding away at the outer edge due to the rubber composition, and bridgestones are prone to wearing choppy causing noise and vibration... can't win for losing sometimes. I'd personally stay with the contiprocontacts for lack of a better option if that's what you currently have.

By chance did you save the alignment printouts from 10k mile ago?

A lot of "could not replicate" and they haven't called me since last Tuesday. The only way I found anything out was through the BMW CCA Ombudsman, who they told I have been "in abundant communication". Well no crap, I don't want to have brake problems when I need them, and I'm not going to replicate it by getting in a wreck.

I drove by on Sunday while they were closed and couldn't see my car anywhere. I'm trying not to think about it.

Soooo... Last weekend the 3 was moved to Maine, and I'm driving my CFO's E53 in SC. 15 minutes into the state inspection the dealer up there found the header was leaking oil onto the muffler causing the burning smell, and there is an appointment next week to deal with the brakes (with a loaner to be provided)

Oh, the SM at Century is no longer there. Apparently a lot of people were pissed. I am still because they scratched my car... The SA's reaction was "We didn't do that" and at that point I let the New Yorker in me go.

I love driving the E53. It is truly fun, the engine sounds great and it just feels good. It is so superior to the E90 its a little sad. I really wish they made them longer, because I would really like to get one to replace the E90 (but they're all about out of warranty, etc, and the E70's are all computerized up and about $10k more than I want to spend) which I'm looking to probably do over winter break. Anyway. If you're in this area, go to Charlotte if you need service. Its worth it. So so so so so worth it.
