It's about ti///Me!

I am officially in the ///M club! I finally had the opportunity to purchase my dream car. It's a 2004 Silver Grey on Black Nappa leather e46 M3 with only 39,590 miles. I am beyond pumped and spent about 3 hours just driving around yesterday. Needless to say, I was full on smiling the entire time. I don't plan on getting decent gas mileage any time soon as the engine and exhaust note in this car are simply intoxicating. Sorry for the poor photo quality, but here she is.

Congratulations, looks great! Love the colour.

When you take a short break from all the driving, are you going to clean the wheels, or install low-dust brake pads? I found cleaning the M wheels to be time consuming.

Awesome! I knew you were looking for one, looks like you found a great example of M3 prowess! Love that it's a full manual vs the first gen SMG too.

Thanks everyone. I still peek out into the garage every once in a while to be sure this has actually happened. I have spent countless hours dreaming about the e46 M3 since I first saw it in photos 10 years ago. These crummy, low-res photos do nothing for the car. There isn't a single scratch on it.

Jeff, I will probably clean it up in the next week or two and yes, those wheels do not look fun to clean. I may look into to low dust pads when the time comes, but for now the current ones will do. I probably wont change much about the car at all except maybe the CDV delete, stainless brake lines, better brake fluid and the Dice Media Bridge (gotta have Sirius radio).

Phil, is there any other way to drive an M3?

Weasel, I haven't personally driven an SMG on the track, but I have heard from a few people that it is great in that setting. However, for me personally, the traditional manual was the only way to go.

The SMG is good on the track, but in normal daily driving I'd much rather the third pedal. I'm not a professional racer or anything so the benefits of the SMG wouldn't prevail over the driving experience of a clutch pedal. (for me at least, I still like the SMG as well)
