Hello All! New to the forum. Any news on the transmission? The paddles got me thinking.

Looks like this M steering wheel gets heating. Nice. AND paddle shifters! Cool. But it's hard to tell if there are the illuminated kind (like on the new M5 where the "+" and "-" illuminate)?

Wow, I love the interior shots with the full leather dash. I hope it gets the alcantara suede like headliner as well.

That is standard M-sport package released in 2007. Its just cosmetic stuff. Nothing different on engine. This thread is about X5 ///M which is different from X5 with M-sport package.

Hoorah! This is one feature that would prevent me from buying any M or M-sport X5 - when you've had the heated steering wheel you don't want to be without it.

I have heated steering wheel on my 750i. I think I've used it once in two years.. Then again, where I live, it's 72 degrees all year

But if we are talking about options that we would like to see on the X5 ///M, one of the nicest things about the 750i is the phone fob. You can dial numbers without using your telephone or the nav system. There is actually a numeric pad. It's something I wouldn't mind seeing in the X5.

And how about also giving us an eyeglass holder, circa e53 2001 (pre panaromic sunroof).. What, BMW can't find a place to put a slot for our glasses?

As far as massage seats... There useless. But I do like the ventilated seats.

Then again, with the stock market tumbling down, down, down.. Who cares anymore. I think I'm gonna buy a Honda Accord.

Did you guys notice the new iDrive controller from those new interior photos? Finally, it's making its way into the X-series.
