Too bad they didn't paint the parking sensors body color along with the windows and tires. That would really complete the look.

Why'r you guys getting so defensive. Just because others don't like it, doesn't mean you can't anymore.

It boils down to personal taste or lack of . Some people would even buy a Porsche Cayenne. Go figure…

I am late to this party, but I have to agree with B-Line and the others. Especially, MD with regards to it looking like an X3 with an aero kit. The wheels in the original photo are completely weak for an M, the X looks better with roof rails and there is not enough contrast with matching color aero kits and trim parts. A black X is the only exception to this rule, IMO. Otherwise there is just too much of the same color. I have seen many 4.8's that look better. In photos that is.

I never liked the M sport pkg look. The best look for E70 by far is 4.8i with matching aero kit with black bumpers IMHO (with 20" wheels, but that's debatable).

I think the X5M only looks less aggressive because of the color it's shown in. It will probably look a lot better in darker colors.

Well, actually here in Australia BMW have decided that we don't like the X5 M and so it isn't being imported. Our E70 X5 has not met the basic standard that we enjoyed with our 3.0 E53 Sports it replaced, and we are over the compromises the car has to endure here in Australia for the sake of other markets.

I am looking at buying an X5 M but not liking the fact that I will have to put some decent wheels on a $200k plus vehicle for it to look in proportion...... so..... I am now seriously considering a Cayenne Turbo (Black) to replace the X5

Cheers

J

How would you plan on getting one if it isn't being imported.
