Wow, you went through a full tank of gas on a 10 minute joy ride? Sounds like the Bugati gas mileage

Maybe you should have tried BMW assist with your dealer there so he can experience the frustration.

Sounds like it's a beast but I would not want to be the poor soul who ends up buying this particular X5M. Running out of gas and running up to the rev limiter in a pre-break-in vehicle can't be good.

I drove through BMWNA yesterday....WOW I had whiplash due to all the X5 and X6 M's "hanging" around (as opposed to speeding down the road.) I didn't see anything else special this time exempt an old Isetta in mint condition. I'm on the look out for a face-lifted X5....

if im right... i think its common for dealers to keep the cars on low gas... just in case someone trys to steal the car. but that was just too funny... that or he really did burn through the tank!

We literally took the car from the PDI, put the locking lugs on, and took it for a test drive.

Meh, old wives tale. We didn't beat the car. We just drove it. And I'm of the cloth: break in the car the way you plan to drive it.

I like the sport comfort seats in our E60. Both the sides and rear are adjustable and cuddle you and it opens up when you put in park or open the door.

This issue will be addressed and tailgate will be one piece with the facelift X5 next year. Good things come to those who wait.
Having to change wheels on an ///M car is an embarrassment. I usually love stock wheels and am not a wheel upgrade guy.. But stocking a car with such ugly rims that EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the dealership makes a comment about it, is just WRONG. The 4.8is wheels were awesome.. I'd be happy with some of those. I shouldn't have to buy aftermarket wheels on an M car.

On the seats, the sides that I'm talking about are not the sides on your back. Not the ones that are adjustable and cuddle you. I'm talking about the little extra material, bolster, that's near your outer thighs. It's like a "lip" that you have to climb over to get in and out.. It doesn't serve any support purpose on aggressive driving and just makes getting in and out more difficult.
