Not very - about 375 miles.

I've been a little bad after 250, but I'm behaving again until at least 1000.

Have you done any 0-60 runs with our without launch control?

talon,
I did not have the luxury of trying out a dealer's car....In fact I think mine may be one of the first to arrive in Colorado ... I even specifically asked my SA not to let anyone drive it cause I knew the temptation to floor it is too great (and I wanted to be the first to drive it). So far (~24 hours) I have noticed that the gas mileage is pretty bad (I did not expect a prius)... I have done ~100 miles and burned through about 1/2 tank without going nuts on the accelerator. I assume gas mileage will improve as it breaks in.

Another question for you knowledgeable crew... does anyone know if the extended service is available for the x5m? I asked my SA and he is checking, but has not gotten a response yet from BMW.

Oh and thanks for all the well wishes from everyone!

I am not yet 100% sure about X5 ///M hub size being same as regular X5. Someone mentioned to me that it can take X6 wheels. Not confirmed from my sources.

Just like we had E53 winter wheels as style 99 (although not many us used style 99) BMW has winter wheels for X5 M as well. Coming to your showroom soon. Pics below:

My gas mileage is up to 11.7 mixed - and I'm playing just under the 5K range. If I see 13/14 I'll be happy. I think you assumption will prove correct.

My salesperson actually laughed out loud when I asked about extended service and/or warranty. She didn't have numbers but speculated that extended service could be $6K and at least that for the extended (to 100K) warranty.

I'll ask for some less humorous numbers.

Enjoy it.

I'm putting 20" Pirelli Scorpion's on come Dec 1. I thought briefly about trying the truck as-is in the snow, but the runflats on this do not appear to be cold-OK like the stock 4.4i tires were.

Oh well.

Dec 1? Isn't that late for MiniSNOWtah? Performance rubber is not good below 40F.
RFT will be skis on snow.
