SUPER BRIGHT LEDS home . Now I am not sure if the car will freak when you swap to LEDs, due to LEDs drawing less (don't know if the lighting control module reads resistance on interior lights, and if it does, you will need to add resistors to EVERY light). You will need "no error" lights for the license plate off ebay, because the car will definitely throw errors from that. As far as what kind of lights it has, pop apart the light housings to find out. The bulbs with a wedge base are 194s, and the cylindrical bulbs are called festoons. All the festoons in the car should be between 36 and 38mm.

I'm just guessing that the E53 and E70 share the same license plate bulbs, but Sobi has a set of the no-error license plate bulbs up in the For Sale forums.
