New rear entertainment?

I'd be interested to know if the two monitor setup for the new rear entertainment systems seen on the 7 series and 5 gran turismo will be coming to the x5M in 2011. I've always thought the current setup seemed chinsey for such a high end vehicle. Has anyone heard any rumors?

Our Invision rep Aceduecy can confirm that for you. I heard Invision is supplying those monitors.

^^ Yea, I dont think I will ever use roof rails, never have, but I see your rationale. I love the clean look of the machine without them. The imposing presence combined with how low it is (for a "truck")and the lack of roof rails and step board really appeals to me. But Im having trouble settling for a color. Saw a montecarlo blue in person today. The sunshine sparkling off that special blue is a majestic sight to behold. I may go for it, no regrets!

It's almost worth buying an X just for this community. I was blown away by how helpful everyone here was back in '05 when I picked up my '01. I had the car for two years and was very pleased, but likely wouldn't have been as much without the support you find here.

This month, when trying to find a less expensive replacement for my wife's 335i going back, we decided to buy a '054.4 (non-cpo) and were reassured that between my previous X experience and the help found here, we'd be fine. The X in all forms is a great vehicle.

Consider this, I am in love with my '08 M3, but it's still a tough choice of which to take when we go for a jaunt on the weekend... It's one of the few SUV's that is actually fun to drive. Good luck and be sure to post pics.

If you do go with Blue you may want to reconsider the roof rails even aesthetically. They are not very tall(the antenna is higher) and the polished Black looks great with the Blue.

Sheesh! Im having trouble choosing a color, guys. I was all for blue yesterday, but I dont wanna risk falling out of love with it days/months/years(?) down the line.

I dont want white because I had a white m5 a couple years ago, been there done that, ya know? Although, white looks gorgeous.

Black has always been "my" color. However, I get the impression that black somehow hides those massive intakes (which are so macho looking) on the face. I feel black is too discreet for me in this case. Although, again, black is sick.

Silverstone? Could be going silverstone or space grey. Im thinking silver is a bit passe, no? Silver has been the go to color for manufacturers and customers alike for the past 12 or so years, and, as a result has become a touch "common" overall. Am I overdoing here, ya think? That said, SS is special with all the different hues and what not. Plus the lines of the vehicle pop marvellously in SS especially in direct sunlight.

Well, space grey! Ive never owned an SG car, and I always admire SG when I see it passing me on the road. Maybe I could be onto something here...

It's so tough, and I dont really even have that many colors to choose from! Perhaps that's adding to my indecision...?

Well, regardless. Im putting the order in tomorrow so by then Ill have to bite my tongue and go for something.

One more question, those of you who ordered, how much was your deposit? Mine is 1K. Im assuming that would be standard everywhere. Was it refundable?
