The X6M needs the power increase in the upper rpm range. At about 100 mph the vehicle doesn't have the ability to pull away from other cars that were literally blown away off the line.

Someone below the Mason Dixon line buy this, will ya?
I want to hear first hand impressions before I spend $3K (and can't enjoy it until the snow clears).

That isn't a hp problem, though. It has more to do with the large frontal area, and the 0.38 drag coefficient.

Correct, but its always a HP (and gearing) resolvable problem. Give the X 1000hp and see how fast she pulls from 100mph
![]() I saw a pickup truck run 200mph in the standing mile. Stock Z06 goes about 170 or so in the same distance. Truck looked like a brick. Truck had 1000+ hp to the wheels. ![]()

Or one could drive something that isn't quite as much of a brick....

My Z06 is .34 Cd by way of comparison. Believe it or not ![]() It's mostly about (gearing and) HP. ![]() Edit - THIS is brick-like at .54 Cd ![]()

Fortunately getting it for delivery. Butt dyno not available. Can anyone chime in on how this is? |

Anyway, I think the X5M is a very impressive vehicle. I just think that high speed runs will be naturally limited by the aerodynamics.
