Is BMW North America as inflexible?

My Comfort Active Vent seats in my X5M are M badged. Just $0.02.

The active vent seats are the same as those offered as comfort seats on other models, albeit with message/vent capability. Best seats offered in a vehicle hands down IMO. I received the same feedback from BMW NA when my local dealer tried to order cinnamon nappa leather and a third row in my '11 X5M. Oh well, since then I realized the cinnamon isn't my cup of tea with the extended leather any way. Still wish I could have got the third row, but the spare tire instead is handy. The X5m is the nest daily driver I have ever owned and I don't regret buying it one bit. If you haven't already driven one, I suggest you do before you decide to not get one. It will change your mind

Comfort seat is doable WITH the M badge, but it depends on how much you really want it.

My X6M HAS Comfort Seats with the M badge on the headrest. I took delivery last June, I might have the only one with the comfort seat in Canada.

This option is available on US market X5/6Ms. But the code isn't in the BMW Canada ordering system, hence you cannot order it. Same with Individual leather or color, which ARE available for the German market.

Since only one factory make all the trucks, you would have thought it would be simple to just pull a different part from the warehouse. I argued directly with BMW Canada for 2 weeks until they finally let me have the Comfort seats, but still no go on Ruby Black exterior.

BMW Canada gave special instructions to my dealer on how to order it, plus the BMW Canada guy put a note together with the order to see it build that way.

US military sales or Diplomatic sales might allow for dual country specs... worth checking, if this venue of ordering is possible...

If the X5///M is not available, get the ML63 /////AMG, not Range Rover, Can't be compared to the X5! ML is ok
