If your looking for snows do a search, I found a few threads that showed the part numbers for the 19" wheels that are specific to the X5M. I thought they looked pretty good based on other members pictures.

The wheels cost $1700, plus $1400 for a set of Pirelli Run Flat Scorpions..

I'm ready for this winter

I think I am just using the stockers and installing a set of Contis. they are very inexpensive and performance should pick up with the reduced weight.
I might get them powdercoated before I do it. I am just debating if it is worth doing it before winter?

But can you post a pic of your 19s?? or at least the wheel type. Just incase I find a set on ebay? One huge advantage I can see with using a 19/thinner tire is the road salt/sand blast to the wheel openings will not be nearly as bad as using the full sized tires.

I was looking it over and you can see the outer edge of the tire when you stand looking down the side of the truck(front to back)
A M&S tire has sipes that help in snow and mud. Those sipes will hold and throw all the dirt/salt/small rocks/sand right into the wheel openings. What is the offset of the 19s. Do they stick in more?

I came across this link

http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...ws-unreal.html

and it was the best thing I could find that looked good and was functional. I went to my dealerships wholesale group and ordered a set, took it to my tire shop and had the pirellis put on.

I have a monte carlo blue model so the pictures in the thread gave me a good idea of what it would look like

I would go get an aftermarket set of HREs or something unique with summer tires. And put pirelli scorpion Ice and snows on the stock wheels.

The 298M wheel/tire package is around 4k+ around here.

From those pics it does not look like the tire sits in more?? So the salt/sand carnage will be the same as using stock wheels and 20 inch all season tires.

If that is the case, why spend the extra money and have to store a set of wheels and tires?

i will just get the contis and install them before winter
