LeMansX5, are you sure the pictures you posted on the last post aren't a future X3 in disguise? They've been going around the internet being labeled as the next X3 that may have an accelerated development because of stiff competition from GLk and Q5.

Yes, 110% sure and confrimed from BMW sources. X1 roofline is straight like the 1-series hatch and X3 roofline is sloping backwards. This is not the first time the auto media have mixed X1 with X3.

They do look very similar....sans the rear hatch.Smaller is better right now...gotta have something to counterbalance those fire breathing X "M" models coming to a showroom near you soon!!!! Thanks! PalBay

If so, then X1 must be a lot bigger than I thought! I was expecting a lifted 1-series with 3 doors only, like a coupe.

As much as I love it, it is just a station wagon. I have no problems with a station wagon, I don't know why car companies are changing the names all the time.
