It is, however, it had already been done once a few years back,....so,...for another $11.92 shipped I got a better carbon fiber reinforced gear off eBay. Its working great.

PS, See you have a K1200S. Sold mine about a year ago. Decided I preferred my K1200RS for the kind of riding I do,......and frankly,.....that S was just too fast too soon. I just did 1800 miles in 2 days plus a break day in the middle with about 100 miles of riding. The RS did it comfortably, Electronic cruise control and excellent hard system cases,....and I like the extra weight and riding position,....very stable.
