Cool Heated steering wheel question

My E83 has a sport steering wheel without a heated rim. The assigned button instead turns on and off the recirculation function. I now have an opportunity to buy a used wheel in real good condition that has a heated rim instead of a recirc toggle assigned to the button. The new/used wheel comes with the switch panels that have the proper button and the guts of the wheel are all there except for the airbag. The question is; will I need any other parts to make this conversion and will the switch be straight forward? Will I need to do much more than just replace the wheel? I'm hoping someone has made this switch and can advise me on the difficulty.
