I "think" this has been done on the E53 forum so maybe check there. Wiring diagrams are going to be your best friend.
You could also check to see if the clock springs are the same part number.

Thanks for the link. The linked schematic shows the Heated Wheel Module downstream from the clock spring so it is a safe assumption the module is in the wheel itself. If I can get the wheel with all its contents sans airbag it should have that module. I will still have to make sure the clock-spring has the pins and if they are live.
