uh-oh ... the aFe intake will not allow me to pass a smog check here in CA?!?!?!

They told me that they have already submitted it for CARB certification and is awaiting approval. How long is the wait? I don't know. Shouldn't be too hard to put your oem intake back in no?

Thanks! But I'm pretty sure the 4.4i is faster. Unless if you are talking about twisties then I think my 3.0i 6-speed will have a chance.

yeah, i'll just save it to put it back on later if need be ... if i ever even GET the aFe intake on the in first place lol ... and yeah, i bet it would be a close one between the 3.0 X3 and a 4.4 X5 -- after driving just the 2.5 X3 the last few days as loaner car, yeah it was a bit underpowered, but my GOD it was ASTONISHING when pushed on Sunset Blvd ... I mean my X5 i think handles at LEAST *almost* as well, but seems to be with more effort ... the X3, it's as though it wasn't even trying!! i bet it's a lot of fun with the 6spd huh

p.s. why is it called the "roundel?" lol ... is that a technical word? EDIT: nevermind, i found it on dictionary.com and wikipedia ... got it ... all i know is, i like how the roundel on the key feels ... mmmmmm
