Question Best Brake Pads

Hey Everyone!

I was wondering what are the best brake pads out there that don't produce that much brake dust. The wheels on my X3 are always covered in brake dust and I'm getting annoyed cleaning them every day. What are the best brake pads to replace the factory ones with?

I love my X3 but I'm fed up with the ones that are currently on it!!!!

My brother-in-law has mentioned something about GREEN brake pads and how they are the best in the market. Would anyone know what brand of brake pads he's talking about?

Good lookin' out, DAC17!!! I just hate the fact the wheels on my X3 collect so much brake dust so fast. Just this weekend I cleaned my wheels, drove 3 miles of stop and go traffic, came back home and there was already a layer of brake dust on my wheels. Does anyone know the type of brand BMW uses for their brake pads.

I know that brake pads produce dust to avoid the rotor from shimmying but JEEEZ…that’s just too much dust!

Check with Dave at http://www.zeckhausen.com/ and ask him if Axxis Deluxe pads are available for the X3. The Axxis have braking performance as good as, if not better than the OEM BMW pads and about 95% less brake dust. Check it out.

Have you ended up finding the best brake pads? X3 wheels are really covered by brake dust real fast.

You're telling me! I know there's no such thing as a dustless brake pad but I just can't believe how fast my wheels get covered with that stuff. It's real annoying. Every month I'm taking the wheels off just so that I can get a REALLY good clean on the wheels.
