I just had the BMW iPod interface installed in my 2006 530i. If it works the same way mine does It works well, providing excellent sound while charging the iPod battery and allowing control via iDrive and the steering wheel buttons, but has some limitations. It can access only 255 items per "folder", so if you have more than 255 playlists, artists, or albums, you can access only the first 255. Second, the iPod clickwheel is disabled when it is plugged into the interface and navigating through a long list is tedious with the iDrive controller. That said, the CEO likes it although i haven't figured out how to get around some of the limitations as of yet.
