Unhappy AC Fan not blowing

Hello everyone,

While replacing my 2006 X3 cigarette lighter fuse I pull the wrong fuse, the AC fuse number 62, I heard the AC stop working, and if I'm not mistaken the car turned off at that moment. I've checked every fuse related to the air conditioning system they all seem ok. Now my AC fans are not blowing, the AC is not working at all, I can see the climate control system working, you can set the Auto and temp settings up and down but nothing happens.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem before I'm forced to go into the dealer Monday? is there a reset switch somewhere?

Please help?!?!?

Sorry, wish I could help but can't. One word of advice though, don't go pulling fuses with the car turned on or running.

Have you tried manually adjusting the fan speed?

hello, you may need to reset your final stage resistor. basically all you need to do is pull the resistor out, and reinsert. you can follow these instruction on replacing that unit... good luck. http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/23403-final-stage-resistor-replaced.html

hello, sorry i did not read your suv profile. on the x3 the "final stage resistor" is located in the blower.. see pic RealOEM.COM BMW E83 X3 3.0i ELECTRIC PARTS FOR AC UNIT the symptoms you posted are identical to what i had on my x5 when i removed the center consol. i would hang on and see what others have to say about this, before i would remove the blower. if you havent tried. disconnect the battery, for 15 min. maybe that would reset.. - g luck
