I had them on our 00 328. I hated them. When cold they flat spot and they didn't balance out very well, even after a few tries. Went back to go ole Michelins and never had a problem again. We have Michelins on the X3 and will stay with the brand when it's time to replace. If you can afford the car, you should be able to afford the best tire for the car.

Michelin's all the way. I tried them all over the years and the "M" is the best. Expensive? Yes! However, you will not be unhappy with the choice. Purchase them through tire rack and have them shipped to one of their authorized installers. Come to think of it just give them a call and ask them about tire choice. They sell all brands and are very knowledgeable.

Have you visited the Tirerack web site? I presume that you have...
What is the weather like where you live? How have the OEM tires served you? Is there some aspect of the OEM tire upon which you would like to improve (ie ride quality, dry cornering, steering feel...)?

What's the main difference between the scorpion and nero since they're both M+S?

I live in southeast Michigan and it is very cold today. We have about 1" of snow on the ground (not much snow this year). My OEM Scorpions have been very good during the 10K miles I have driven since September. They are very quiet and smooth. Handling is OK. As far as improvement on tires I really can't think of anything at this time. I may have some opinions after they have been on the vehicle for a year. I am traditionally a Michelin guy and will replace the OEM's with the big "M" when the OEM's wear out. Tire rack is great! I have purchased tires and wheels from them in the past. Service is great and the client service reps are very helpful.

The problem with the Michelins that come on the X3 is that they are awful. Of the OEM tires the Pirellis are by far the best. If you have been happy with them, IMHO, don't change a thing.
