Audio problem with new DICE Silverline unit
2005 X3 w/Business CD Never had a CD changer Sirius satellite installed and working perfectly since 2006 Aux input installed and working perfectly since 2006 Just purchased a DICE Silverline kit for the X3 Connected the CDC connector to the sirius receiver in the trunk area Connected the CD-SDARS labeled 6-pin connector to the DICE harness Connected the proper 3-pin connector (not the phone connector) to the DICE harness Battery was disconnected during install iPod has appropriate updates The 12-pin CD-SDARS labeled connector is connected to the head unit When I connect my iPod everything seems to work fine except that i get no audio. I can control the iPod with the radio controls, it scrolls through my playlists etc. etc. I just can't hear a peep. Anyone have any suggestions? Can I hook up the DICE unit to the 3-pin and 6-pin connectors in the trunk area used for Sirius at least to test if it works from there? Maybe I have a bad factory harness from the console to the trunk ![]() Thanks. Last edited by Clam_Alert; 04-21-2008 at 11:57 AM. |

Some BMW radios need to be reprogrammed to open up the CD changer audio input. Especially if the car did not come with a CDC from factory.
there is an SI from BMW about this but I can't find it right now. |
