Sunroof is not covered by CPO warranty. I know because I had a similar issue with my sunroof, the sunshade was broken and stuck inside. They did replace it since it was still under 4 yr warranty but the SA did tell me that its not covered and also gave me a copy of official BMW list of what is covered under it. My sunroof was a messed up job and they ended up replacing the whole cassette and the internal roof panel. You can try to convince them to do it under goodwill program or try doing it yourself. I was told the cassette costs C$ 3k + taxes.

maybe in Canada, but in USA, its pretty much covers everything except wear and tear. and trim.
