Tire options for '06 X3 M-sport

I am looking to unfortuantely replace my tires since they are wearing down (with only 9k miles!). I currently have the Michelin Pilot Sports on and am looking to replace them either with Pilot Sport A/S Plus or Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza tires. Since I have the staggered wheels, there are not a whole lot of all season choices out there. Any opinions on either tire? TIA!

Take a look at the Continental ContExtremeContact DWS, a high-performance M+S tyre. Although I recommend separate summer and winter tyres, the Contis seem to be well-regarded for an all-season and are reasonably priced.

How do tires on an X3 get worn out, in 9k miles?

I wish I knew. They said the fronts had 3.5 left and the backs had 5. They are the Pilot Sport and I did drive them through winter...

The Continental Extreme Contact DWS is not quite available yet for my rear tires (255/45/18) according to Tire Rack. Those were one of my top choices but they are not sure when they would be available.

My understanding is that a 255mm tire width should not be a problem on the sport package wheels; I did a search on Tire Rack using 2006 Sport package specs. You may contact them directly to double check, but I think it should be fine.

Yep that is one of the sizes I need but they said it will be available in the future since it is a brand new tire. Tire rack did not give me an exact date so I am not sure if I should wait a while for it. They have the one I need for the other size (235/50/18) but wanted to get all 4 of the same tire.

I ended up going with the Michelin PIlot Sport A/S plus. Seem pretty nice and got highly recommended by all the bmw dealerships. Thanks!

I would be interested in hearing back on how they perform in our NEO winter. Check back if you think of it thatrachel.

Will do! I used to live in Mentor so definitely understand the need for a good set of tires. They are doing fine so far but no snow/ice.
