X3 Transfer case HELP!!!
Hi! I am wrighting from sunny Siberia, Russia
![]() I have a problem with my 2005 X3 transfer case. Thare was a bearing whyning noise from the transger case, so I took it apart and discovered a MAJOR problem inside http://picasaweb.google.com/11496776...eat=directlink This bearing I can not find ANYWHERE because BMW replaces the entire transfer vase in case of any malfunction. Spare parts are only available from broken or used transfer cases. All companies who say that they rebuild this ATC400 transfer case are actually replacing broken parts with used ones. Only spare parts available are main bearings (they are quite common) and chain. Usually manufacturers of transmissions are offering components separately but Magna Steyr does not do that. Here in Siberia new transfer case will cost me $3000 which I think is WAY too much for a single bearing. This ATC 400 is the only transfer case instelled in BMW X3 through the entire model line. So If you have a broken transfer case or know somebody who does PLEASE let me know 'cause I am quite desperate. I will be glad to pay pretty decent money for the pictured part. Payment - visa, direct bank transfer, paypal. We can even run it through ebay (have 100% positive feedback). Can arrange local pickup in Miamy FL area and payment in cash. Thanks for reading! Any Advise highly appreciated Last edited by nikitich; 06-16-2010 at 12:01 PM. Reason: picture link incorrect |
