Potential purchase - front suspension turret problem

Hi All,

We're currently looking around for an X3 auto around 2004.

Just viewed one which was looking to be a good deal but have noticed that the spot welds in the engine bay around the top of one of the front suspension turrets are a bit rusty and the paint around them is bubbling.

Do you think this means that a repair has taken place in the past or is this something which I don't need to be worried about?

On the same turret, two of the nuts which hold the top mount of the suspension are also rusty - could it just be that side of the engine bay just happened to suffer from water ingress more than the other? the other turret is looking pristine - no rust and the welds look fine.
