If you follow the instructions here http://www.x3world.com/showarticle-182.html you should be fine. It's a relatively easy installation, and takes about an hour and a half.

I was thinking of doing it in the dash compartment up by the windshield above CD and vents. Anyone done that?

how much is the Aux input? This is very cool.. Also.. what other DIY are there like this... if ya know any please post em up.. From exterior, lighting or maybe interior?!

It worked great. I installed the AUX jack in the compartment on the dash. It wasn't hard at all. The best part is that everything can fit in there and close up and you can't see anything. Works great, I highly recommend it.
