Yes I agree but I have learn that the dealer reset is different to the reset I have described.
I have had the dealer reset mine due to erratic behavior but did not fix issues I was having. Doing the simple trick did fix all my issues. I have to do it occasionally when I notice weirdness again like hanging on to first gear way too long (should change at approx 1700 RPM not 3500 RPM) on gentle acceleration.
