The first thing I would do is get a second estimate. Since we can't judge the seriousness of each of the issues, I would ask each Indy what order he would do things to break it down into 3 installs. Do you know how much of the $3,300 is labor cost? If not, you should and also the cost per hour. The Indy may have the highest overhead in your area.

I can see the oil pan gasket being a PITA, but everything else on that list is very simple. I would expect no more than $1500 after tax, labor, and parts.

But like you said, the other stuff seems unreal. After a quick search I found most of those parts for a total of $600......

You're getting the right advice here - no one wants to see you part with that coin for these jobs. Get some alternate pricing and make your call. I have a shop that lets me bring in my own parts because I can source them from the US at better pricing. It's a really nice arrangement. And he's super fair on labour tallies.

Awesome. Thanks Guys again. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. Here is the new plan of attack:
1. Get new estimate 2. See if Indy will let me source my own parts 3. Get parts 4. Pay for labor. Here is the order I will get things done 1 - CCV 2 - PS and Belt 3 - Oil leak Let me know any other advice. Do you guys have a great reliable place to get OEM parts?

Having done a couple of those projects 'shade tree,' though on a 3.0 version, the estimate sounds outrageous to me. I assume that isn't the $8 accessory belt on the 3.0. FYI, the dealer I bought mine from, a BMW performance shop near Cincinnati, had this as their 'costs' [including parts at BMW dealer prices] for:
PS hoses/flush: $232 total [1.5 hours labor]. CCV stuff, with oil filter housing gasket and oil filter, change: $583 [3.5 hrs labor] The V8 Oil Pan gasket is the one I know nothing about. May be that you have to lift the engine to pull the pan/replace the gasket? At least one of their part prices [the PS reservoir, $38?] is not really out of line. In short, as Smokey Robinson would advise, "You Better Shop Around ...."

Also, run the part numbers listed on the autohausaz dot com search tool. They are usually pretty competitive.
