What would be the preferred way to do that? Just open the fill plug with the vehicle level and wait until it slows and reinstall the bolt. Then warm up to 30C and recheck ?Thanks in advance.

I would have it running, less than 30C, vehicle level. Open the plug, let it drain down, make sure it hasn't foamed from overfilling, close up the plug when it hits 30 C and stops draining. Or a variant on this. You have to have it running, and finish with it around 30C.

4.25 quarts now. Still a bit less than others. Did it with the car running and AC on. Will have to do this again in 1000 miles. Let's hope more comes out and goes back in.

Weird.. Even though I leveled the pan instead of the vehicle it was still slightly undefiled. I added 1/4 LTR. For a total of 6 1/4. Maybe it had something to do with when I preformed the change, I did it in the morning after the car had been sitting for a day prior. Maybe a majority of the fluid settled in the pan.

Oh god... now I feel like just dropping the whole damn pan and change the filter and see exactly how many quarts this 5hp24 really takes on my 4.6. it seems like I have a freak of nature or something.
