Reply help!! 2006 X5 4.8is 80k
The sqeek is coming from the steering wheel, I replaced all bearings and still sqeaks. Any one know how I can stop it from sqeaking? I did all maintence, replaced and updated all fluids. I use bmw oil, every 6k miles oil change. The metallic noise comes from the engine bay when I'm on the highway doing 50-70mph and I hit the pedal. You hear a whinning high pitch noise when I accelerate.

Mine squeaks. Need a new steering column switch. Not an uncommon issue.
