Recall notification is aligned with the latest registered owner/user of the vehicle hence state motor vehicle records.

I just bought my x5 4.6is 2 months ago and at the beginning of July I received my recall letter. Of course BMW does not happen to have the parts to make the repair so it will be a while before this recall has been completed.

As I have not heard I just called BMW. They say 3/2003 & up are inside the recall and my 12/2002 X is not included.

If your vehicle did not have a Sport Wheel when you purchased new and you retro fitted one after the fact with the Sport Airbag, how do you go about being part of this recall?

They're basically going to say too bad so sad. Wasn't originally equipped on the car, not their fault you sourced something years ago that was later recalled.
