Fender side indicator light

Hey X5ers I need to change out my side indicator lights, the ones located on the fender of the X5 because mine are cloudy and weathered. What is the consensus with regards to upgrading them with aftermarket ones. Are the aftermarket ones especially the LED ones good quality or is everyone just sticking to the OEM regular lens and bulb?

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
I had the Depo "crystal clear" ones, they fogged up and leaked.

Many guys have the LED versions which are error free. You may need to re-use the gaskets from your stock side markers.

I'm using smoked TYC OEM style markers now, they came with new gaskets and bulb holders and were much better quality than the Depo's I first had. I think this seller has them, here is the auction for the clear ones, you may have to message him if you want smoked:

Thanks Jay I definitely want a quality side indicator light. I'll stay away from the depo version.

Been happy with mine, except the instructions given by the seller told me to slide the wrong direction to remove the factory lights. Once I figured that out, it was easy.

These are the lights I bought, from a different seller: BMW E53 x5 E36 Sedan Coupe Side Marker Repeater Lights Lamps Error Free Smoke | eBay

those are the led smoked lights I got , and 1 gasket was good and the other one when installing it ripped, so I had to use the oem gasket ,no big deal though, I highly recommend those lights. no issues at all other than the 1 gasket.
