^Sorry man. I've never had problems removing it. You've got me scratching my head now and questioning my writeup for the Avin...

Where did you get to? Are you stuck on dropping the sonic module in the back? Or the whole thing? After you get the sonic module out it should be cake. For S's and G's remove all 4 screws and see if it comes down easily? I remember it just falling down after removing the requisite 2 screws.

Crytalworks,

Thanks again for assisting.

Steps I did to try and remove Roof console:

1. Pop out front courtesy light/map lights - Done
2. Removed two torx screws - Done
3. Reach up and in to pop out homelink module - Done

This is where I'm stuck.

4. Reach through homelink hole to pop out sonic alarm module - No Go!

Tried Blackbeast method:

5. Use a small flat head to gently pry down the top leftish corner until it starts coming apart and then gently pull down - Really really tight!

Tried to forced it down....I'm almost about to break the Roof panel!

Found a similar panel on ebay.

Noticed that I placed arrows and circles to highlight location

Here....the Ultrasonic sensors are torx screwed.

The red arrows points to a screw hole?

Yellow arrow - could this be the thing holding the rear of the roof panel?

Okay, this was bothering me so when I couldn't stay asleep I decided to come out to the garage to clay bar the X and start putting a coat of Color X on it @ 5:30AM...

... but before I do that. Here is the definitive answer to your problem. I dropped mine in less than a minute. The sonic module that is.

Pry right there when I have my bone. You can see the clips on the sonic module in the next picture. There are 2 in the front and some on the sides, but the 2 in the front are the important ones.

Once you have that down you can see the last 2 torx screws (where your red arrows are pointing) that are holding the actual console to the roof.

The yellow arrows you have in your pic are pointing to torx screws that hold 2 parts of the overhead console together. They are not applicable to removing the console from the roof.

Hope this ends your frustration. I've been where you're at trying to remove something without breaking it... and it can suck. Let me know how you get along.
