does seem like she came with most options apart from electric rear seats and the dsp (subwoofer) in the boot... need to find a good "how to guide" on how to fit my aftermarket amp and subwoofer into the x5..... ill have a google search

Okay I am little confused why you said that you got duped on this purchase. Isn't carbon black actually a blue color? All of the Carbon BMWs that I have seen are blue but have the appearance of black at a distance. Did you buy the vehicle sight unseen? Were there no pictures to show that it is black vs. Carbon ? The pictures you have posted on the forum is clearly not Carbon. At any rate still a beautiful X5.

My first x5 so I didn't know what carbon black looked like, the add said carbon black and the car was black in colour so just presumed it was what it was, as I said it's only after reading on the under bone info that it states sapphire black, but the colour doesn't bother me as after googling the two colours I actually prefer sapphire, I just wasn't sure what specs the carbon model would have had over the standard 4.6is

I am still waiting for information that a "carbon 4.6is" ever existed at all in regular production.

From what I can gather, the 4.6is Carbon Edition was a United Kingdom specific vehicle and they made around 400 of them. The Carbon Black Edition featured Champagne leather (cream) interior, custom black exterior trim, wooden dash inserts, wide arch body extensions, chrome tip exhaust and 20" carbon black alloy wheels.
