Shift lock
Also had a scanner hooked up last night. Came up with this code. Any thoughts??

You can see the 4 tan/greenish locating lugs pull them outwards and lift up the IVM.
Based on your scan it would point to the shift interlock so put it in neutral and start the engine. It will only start in Park or Neutral. If you want turn of the engine and run it through the gear change quickly as it will temporarily clean the contacts and prove the point |

What you are looking at in that pic is the main DME with the black receptacles, and the one in the back with the blue is the transmission computer. There is no IVM on this I am sure of it. Or at least not located here. There are only relays and connections.
As far as interlock, I have taken the neutral safety switch off, disassembled, cleaned and checked with ohm/continuity meter following another detailed post here with the necessary schematic. It checked out fine. I have also run the gear selector thru all positions, no change at all. I actually did this within the first 5 minutes of it happening. I am completely stumped on where to go next.

Have you checked ALL of the fuses and reseated the relays? It's been a while, but I think the starter interlock has its own fuse.

FIXED!! So that owners are able to see solutions to problems thru this forum I wanted to post an update. After much searching/head scratching, I have resolved the no start issue. I finally found a schematic for the starter system and saw that the wire from the ignition switch went thru the DME than to the starter relay. Verified I had 12 volts coming from ignition switch and that the relay was working properly. Went back to fuse panel and started looking closer at what would cause no signal from DME. There is a "engine control" listing, which has 3 fuses for it. #5 is a 7.5amp fuse. Pulled it out, blown, replaced, voila, START!!! Always look at the simple things. Now I have to put my shifter back together, the DME/TCM box, under dash, etc. but at least it starts and runs. Now back to chasing oil leaks and other nonsense……Thank you everyone who took the time to respond and help with this.

Congrats! Great thread for others who have starting issues and can not find a cause/solution. Thanks for the update.

And there was much rejoicing.
I subscribe to Occam's razor threory for stuff like this: the simplest explanation is most often correct. Wonder why the fuse blew?

Hunds, I totally agree about there being a reason for it blowing. To me, odd for a DME fuse to blow out of the blue. Will definitely keep an eye on things and see what comes up. I am licensed electrician, so know full well that they "usually" don't just blow. But on these cars, who knows!! Need to put it all back together and drive it to see what happens. I have a much better understanding of the car now, so it wasn't all for not…..
