...which M3 steering wheel are you looking at? There are multiple steering wheels from multiple generations of M3s...e30, e36, e46, e90, etc?

Is msport wheel smaller?

I have 3.0i sport wheel... is it worth swapping?

E39 Sport and MSport steering wheels are the same. They are thicker than E53 sport steering wheel, and have thumb rest.

The e39 msport wheel is also slightly smaller in diameter than the pre facelift e53 sport wheel.

I like it a lot better than the E53 sport wheel.

The steering wheels are different with pre/post facelift too I think. I have a facelift sports wheel which has thumb rests.

I'm on the same boat, wanting to change that 4 spoke steering wheel, with pre-facelift and heated steering wheel (which I want to keep in this -20C weather), what are my options?

If you get the wheel with airbag, make sure it's not from an airbag recall vehicle.

If you install a sport wheel, BMW will not replace defective bag (not vehicle specific item).

Those switching wheels need to be aware, non sport wheel bags do not fit sport wheels.

is there anyway to tell if the airbag has be recalled? a revised part number or something? I still can't seem to find an option that can remain the heated option. will facelift heated sport steering wheel fit pre-facelift?
