NCS expert advice needed please

Just got ncs expert but not sure how to use it , it asks for chassis type (which is e53) then asks for module and has a drop down menu with about 30 different serial numbers, and I have no idea which one to select ! Anyone have an idea ?

You can let NCS expert read the serial number and vehicle info, it's just not really intuitive. Do a google search and watch/read a tutorial to get you started.

NCS expert is not for diagnostics though, you should be using DIS for diagnostics.

You should get a copy of BMW Scanner 1.4 along with the interface and cable. It's a lot easier to setup and can read all the modules in a BMW including the ABS module. It also allows you to code the BMW.

Hope this was HELPFUL.

NCSExpert is a very powerful but dangerous coding tool. It's not for playing around with. You could destroy the modules in the car easily.
What are you trying to achieve?

I don't think he is trying to code his X, but trying figure out why he has the trifecta of lights on. In other words, he is trying to read the trouble codes for the ABS, DSC, and Brakes.

That's not what NCSExpert is for. It's a coding software.
I do wish him luck.

I think it's do-able but I haven't been able to. I think the problem is that there are country and safety "batch" codes that seem to over-ride getting the angel eyes on as DRL's. I think if you get the combination right though that it can be done. I hope someone else chimes in with the answer! Activating the the high or low beams as DRL's though should be a lot easier.
