GPS is better and doesn't require cellular service for triangulation fix but also consumes more power (which doesn't matter much for this application). The GPS app on the Eonon seems pretty pro. IGO Primo is the GPS software that came with the Pumpkin unit. Absolutely brilliant program. It even gives me street numbers as you are driving down the road. Mine came pre-installed on a micro SD card (which fits in the top left corner of the unit)

Cell Service (what we Aussies call mobile phone service) Is via a usb dongle. I just use wifi to install stuff.

I don't know what I have built in on the Eonon. When I click NAVI button it goes to "AVIN" app I think but maybe its not working since i haven't plugged in my GPS antenna yet. Wondering if I can remap that button to Waze or GMAPS? I'm sure some hacking somewhere could do it but prob requires root.

Do you have the apk for IGO Primo?

IGO Primo came on a 4gb micro sd card with the unit when I bought it. My version would be no good for you as it has Australia and New Zealand maps. Have a look in your packaging and see if you have a micro sd card somewhere, or look at the two micro sd card slots on the front right and see if you have a card already sitting in there. I do recall I had to set it up the first time I used it.
