ABS Module Replacement advice needed

Greetings All! I was not able to get through all of the posts on ABS modules. I am hoping for some advice on ABS replacement for a 2003 3.0 Automatic.

I have seen some places that will repair a module. A BMW mechanic told me this might be a good option because there would be no recoding necessary.

I have seen places that sell a new module discounted to around $350US. I assume this will require recoding that I cannot do myself.

Perhaps there are other options. I am all ears!

Those are your two main choices. Look for a module repair place that will refund the charges if the repair doesn't work. If it works, it is cheaper and saves coding (time and money)

I paid about $100 for any Indy to code mine. Call around to find a shop that can do it. The ones that do it will know immediately what you are asking for.

Thanks All! I had the module repaired. It was off the car on a Monday, to USPS Priority Mail on Tuesday, the repair shop on Thursday and back to me this Monday ... installed and tested with success. I used Module Repair Pro in So. Calif. only because they seemed to be closest. I did need to reset the SES so that the Cruise Control would work (apparently code P0500 - speed sensor kills the cruise).
