Looks great. Does Wurth sell a kit? I think I've seen something in the Griot's catalog, but it was a long time ago.

This is what i used, it's their "German Wheel Scuff Repair Kit"

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o07_s00

I also used Bondo's "Plastic Metal" to fill the curb rash. Sanded it down with 200, 400, 800, 1000, and 1500 grit. Mine were pretty rashed so I decided to refinish the whole wheel. But I believe this can be used to touch up some rash.

under $100 for materials for 2 wheels. not sure how much a wheel repair shop would charge for this repair, but i thought it was worth a shot to DIY.

2 coats of clear

OEM color comparison

Overall pretty close match. I wish I could hit it with a couple more coats of clear. The kit was only enough to do 2 decent coats

Looks like the Wurth clear lacquer is available separately for $17/can.

I recommend DupliColor Wheel paint... This is Silver HWP100 paired with clear HWP103. Remember, good paint results are in the prep. This was aircraft stripper stripped, then 400 sanded, then 800. 1 coat of primer, 3 or 4 coats of base (don't remember), and 2 coats of clear. The clear goes on milky but dries clear... so don't freak out.

I will be refinishing my wife's style style 192 Mtech package wheels on her E83 in the upcoming months. Going to use the same process/materials I used on those e30 wheels as they came out amazing.

I ended up finding the wurth silver and gloss clear coat and the the results came out pretty good. It does take practice and skill which I haven't fully mastered yet but with each wheel I'm getting better. The wurth silver is the correct colour which is nice. Cost was $20/can in Australia.

Thanks. Not a fun job, but very rewarding when done. Took me 2 weeks to do all 4 wheels.

Good deal. It makes a world of difference to tired wheels. Post some pics when you get it completed.

Duplicolor is a little "brighter" I think than OEM, barely, so I might try that Wurth in the future if looking for a perfect match.
