Side mirror viewing - do you see much?

Can someone please share a picture of a closeup of their drivers side mirror for me?

I can't stand my mirrors on the X!
I have a work truck that I drive daily and I rarely ever have to shoulder check because I can see everything using my mirrors.
Then when I hop into the X, I can't see anything and I cannot adjust my mirrors to go out or up any further. I see the rear door handle in both mirrors. I constantly see the side of the X in both the drivers and passenger side mirrors. Are yours like that?! I don't have any confidence at all in using my mirrors, yes, I know to shoulder check, but still bothers me that the mirrors are pretty much useless and I have to lean way towards the steering wheel so I can use the outside edge of the mirror to see anything at all.
When I look closely at the mirrors, it seems like there just isn't enough room for the mirrors within their housings. Is this a design flaw or can they be adjusted? Does your mirror gap look like mine?
