Damn that looks good. I wish your writeup gives me the confidence to try. So far, I have not been given the balls to try this.

Thanks fellas. I will definitely do a full writeup and hopefully it will give you the necessary "cajones" (and information) to do the job. It's really not as scary as it seems, but I am familiar with this sort of "all in" mod. Your comfort level will dictate your willingness to undertake the surgery (read: disclaimer).

I got the alignment done and now my thunk, clunk, or knock, depending on your vernacular, is gone when going into driveways and over bumps. Either the ball joints or the bushings took care of it.

Had the alignment tech ask me about the headlights wondering if I "work on them." Politely declined for lack of time. Couldn't get out of redoing my sister's lights though on her cobalt as she wants "exactly the style you did on yours." So yeah, guess I'll be opening a set of cobalt SS lights in the future.

Sorry for the lack of money shot pics but we were enjoying the truck today since it hasn't been driven over the last couple of weeks. Will be sure to get good pictures as a semi-conclusion to this thread. Will start on the DIY as soon as I get back from Miami in three weeks. Going to do it in much the same fashion as my Avin Avant install so, again, hopefully it will help you guys on the fence about doing this decide whether or not the mod is for you.

Money shots!!! Will try to take some exterior shots as soon as I can, but trust me, these things are baller and look amazing. I am super stoked to have this mod completed. Paired with the new Nightbreakers it feels like I have a brand new set of headlights.

Man that look in the lights is so impressive. I love what happens when an enthusiast puts some real work into making something better. Hats off to you. I have a 2003 pre face lift lights and I need to figure out what I am going to do.

That's just beautiful, nicely done mate! I have the facelift ones and been wanting to upgrade them since forever but don't have the knowledge nor space to do them. Now that the knowledge is here thanks to you I'm just waiting for space. Looking forward to your writeup sir! Btw, are they now running with the interior light upon lock/unlock?

Looks great! Can you share where you got the LED's from? I may have missed it, but you ended up just cutting the lenses to seperate? Did you use a rotary tool or something else?
