Installation instructions for installing LeMans Style Fender Flares

Hello All,

Tried google and also searching this forum and could not find installation instructions for installing the LeMans Style fender flares. My right rear fender flare fell off and I am not sure if there are plastic tabs that hold it in or are there metal clips that may have fell into the inner fender wall.

My body shop thinks that there were plastic tabs that were broken off.. I think there are tabs that get attached on the other side of the fender wall that fell off..

Any help would be appreciated

It's the "one-time" plastic tabs you need. The ones you push in with your thumb when installing and push through when removing.

The plastic parts are broken off. I would try and find a way to attach it via screws. I had a similar issue on my old X and it was either pay 200 for a new piece or put a screw in.

Unfortunately, sold the pair I have on eBay last week for $50.
Those metal locks are known to come off. I used small screws when installing them on my old 3.0

Expanding rivet, black
51111944537 - I used these for the arches as they don't require a rivet tool. They are really for the door sill cover but work just as well for the the arches.

Expanding rivet
51717002953 - BMW said these are the ones to be used for the arches but you'd need a rivet tool.

Did you have your plastics painted? Or did the truck come that way?

Didn't see that, I would agree...screws would be the best option here but it will be tricky.
