My new to me 4.6is

Hi guys finally got time to get my hands on my X and see what surprises I might find on it...
The engine run great and idles great, the check engine flashes randomly I checked for codes but did not get any, I think it's because it has a small battery in the car( it was the only one available in my garage since the one in the X was dead).

I need to change some bushings as the old ones are OLD and stiff. Interior is in mint condition but exterior need lotta luv( passenger front door got a Ugly cut made by a tricycle, left Headlight needs to be restore.....

What kind of trim is this???

VIN: LN73502

That trim is one of the individual woods that were available on some of th X's. The center console is obviously the hard part to get and probably is not available anymore hence the Titan colored console you have in the vehicle.

Nice ride to bring back. Those wheels look like different than the usual 4.6is whels but no worries, wheels are a subjective personal preference of the buyer.
Okay the other interesting thing about your 4.6is is the whole front clip has been changed in favor of a 2004-2006 front end. Meaning someone changed the front Fenders, hood, headlights, front fascia thus making it appear to be a 4.8is. So you have something a little different their. Did not come from the factory that way but built back with factory bits.

Congrats on the purchase, it looks very clean and tidy. What's the mileage and year?

The rear bumper/exhaust tips are also from the 4.8iS. I have never seen that type of wooden trim before but it looks nicer than the "standard" if that makes sense...? It's indeed uniquely optioned...especially with the rear monitors.

Thanks guys...
It's a 05/2002 with 117979km (roughly 73308miles), i tested the monitors and both are working but i've never seen this kind of option on a 4.6 or 4.8. the car was brought from germany to Angola as it is and the previous owner only put 15000km on it. Already made a list of preventive maintenance fluids change is a must, than the fun part beguins(chain guides and the Armagedon Crew)...

Any input is more than welcome....

Should be a fun project and a good investment as a pay off. Enjoy.

Very nice car - I hope you will have a lot of fun with it. As far as I know the 4.6is is one of the rarest e53.

Your interieur seems to be the "Edelholzausführung Mahagoni Maritim Line".
Center console partnumber should be "51167919595" which is "only" about 1100€

Decoding your VIN says: it was ordered and delivered with "titan line interieur" - so I suppose the former owner has tried to retrofit the maritim interieur and fitted all the parts he could get

The car was initially delivered to denmark - according to your VIN.

The Screens on your seats are from the "DVD System Advanced" which was also retrofitted.

Nice find.

Around 4 yrs ago I looked into purchasing the full (console, roof handles & shift knob parts included) Maritime trim kit, was only able to locate one (in Europe), was NIB and over $2000.

That trim is rare.

That's definitely the maritime trim. I've never seen an actual car with it though.
In an effort to retain it you could try painting the titanium center console piano black and leaving the rest wood. It might look nice that way. That's a cool trim. I've never seen those backrest monitors either.

Nice purchase. Enjoy.

You have one of the strange 4.6iS with the 4.8iS front end. Might be the work of previous owner.
Hate the yellow stripes on that trim.

Door handle is not part of the trim
