FWIW, I believe GreenDragon went with a UUC LWFW and clutch kit, you could ask them what works or get their set up.

I ordered my kit from BMW and have no regrets. Everything went in without a hitch and it drives like a brand new car.

According to realoem, all of the parts are interchangeable with the E46, E39, etc. Who knows why E53 has a unique kit.

Does anyone happen to know the torque specs for attaching to the flywheel?

Rougue Engineering makes a nice short throw shifter also.
