Towing with a lowered air-ride vehicle

Anyone tow with their lowered air-ride e53?

I am considering lowering my 4.6is with the front springs and rear links, and I'm curious about how it might affect towing ability, specifically tongue weight capacity.

I would be occasionally towing a car (my e36 M3) to the track, and maybe a slightly heavier vehicle at some point.

Also, how does lowering the "truck" with the auto-leveling link mod affect the ride quality during normal driving? I work with vehicles which ride like dogs**t when the air cylinders are leaking down or not filling up all the way.
Is this thing gonna bounce all over the place if it's prevented from fully airing-up the bags?

My iS is lowered about 1" by coding. It tows just fine.
I didn't notice the difference before and after lowering.

Cool.
What type of hitch and wiring did you use?

Mine is lowered with springs and links. No affect on towing or noticeable ride

If you lowered it by fooling the calibrations, then then system will still try to maintain that height with appropriate pressure.

Biggest change will be that you have changed the overall springrate of the suspension, so cornering and sudden stops will differ.. but by how much is hard to say from a computer.

Is his a 4.6 or a 4.8?

As long as it isn't going to reduce tongue weight capacity, or sway the trailer, I'm fine.

Will the rear links adequately fool the calibration without doing anything else?
