Upgrade on plastic grill mesh insert?

The mesh is a little too thick to fit between the grill frame and the bumper but I am thinking along the same lines as you - roll the edge over and secure it with some form of bonding agent - I was thinking of using JBWeld.

I'll get a better idea of what will work once I have the OEM grills inserts off the car. Until then, it's all theory!
