Good day!

Okay, I reverted back to older IE version...

When I was on IE-11, I got all four requirements to go YES... But as stated above, when I needed to use ActiveX, Windows was killing it...

Now, I'm not getting that anymore, but I can't get SVG to go back to YES... I don't know what I changed last time to get it to work, if that option is even avail in the older version of IE... All my Java stuff works... I can look at the drop down menus for E53 with no problem... But looking at the wiring diagram that requires SVG doesn't do anything...

Did I mention this has been frustrating?! I've been working on this from the first post tonight until now... Thanks guys and gals who have helped me thus far!!

Cheers all!!!

I've also got the WDS working on an old XP machine with IE8 - no problem. Installed Java and SVG plugin and away it goes... With later versions of Java you still need to enter bmwtech.ru into the site exceptions and then still click on "Run" when the warning pops up (each time you launch it).

I'll check all the settings on my Win7 and XP machines, screen grab them and PM them to you, William. Won't be for a day or so as I'm running a motorcycle rally out of town tomorrow...

Oh, here is a good idea...

Can someone that has it working screen shot the schematic for the clutch switch and also for the neutral detection, position switch for a manual trans?! That is really the only thing I am looking for right now...

Thanks in advance!!!

Cheers!!!

Well guys and gals...

I did updates on my computer and I can get SVG to work, but I lose JAVA for some reason. I reverted back to IE8 and I could get the JAVA tests to work, but SVG fails to work... I've been playing around with IE11 and actually changed some stuff to get JAVA to work... In that time, I lost SVG... So, I started over...

I'm back to IE11 and still don't have JAVA functions working, even though it is "YES" on both...

I tried to use my older XP computer, but IE6 died and I can't get any IE version to load... I tried to go backwards to 5.5, but the computer says it has a newer version of IE and won't load 5.5, even though IE6 doesn't work. UGH!! I tried newer versions, but I kept getting a non-compatible message... Double UGH!!

So, that is where I'm at... I might keep playing with it... But, I'm getting a headache!!

Cheers for now!!

Try an older java version. I think pre 7.0. Here's a link. Remember to completely remove the new version and block updates.

This is informative about WDS requirements:

So are you up and running now, William?

If not, I'll dig out the diagrams you want and post them here....

Good day!!

How was the ride? I really need to get my bike out!!!

I actually don't know yet... I will try all these different options when I get home in about an hour or so... I think it will be a positive experience...

Thanks again for all your help!! I referred back to your settings more than a few time these past couple days!!! Oh so much to remember...

EDIT:: I got it to work... I didn't have to do much to my newer computer that I use every day, but I needed it to run on my BMW program laptop... I uninstalled JAVA ver8 and found ver7 somewhere other than Oracle... Oracle wanted a log in to let me down load it... Pulling in Ver 7 ud84 or something like that, it works... YAY!!! Thanks guys and gals!!!

Cheers!!!
