I thought that too, but I have seen vehicles older, newer, and same age with and without the additional BC on the MID.

Mine is like your first set of pics (in post #4). I have a 2005, non-nav, non-DSP, prod date May 2005.

I can tell you that pushing the BC button on the dash radio panel gets you to where you want to go much more quickly than having to do multiple presses of the button on the stalk. The dash BC button brings up all the options (range, etc.) across the MID, and you then can select which one you prefer to see.

The Business CD radio that have the additional BC button means that you have an "upgraded" On-Board Computer with 4 additional functions, which was part of the premium package. Those without the BC button still get the basic On-Board computer function displayed in the instrument cluster such as Outside Temp, Average MPG, Distance til empty, and Average MPH. The upgraded Computer basically get you Memo, Speed reached/exceeded alert, timer for Ventilation control, etc...

Ah... thanks.

Is it as simple as swapping in another biz cd/MID if someone wanted to upgrade?
