BC Question

Why is it some X5's have a BC control on the steering column and on the MID and some only have it on the column? Is it an option?

Symantics strike again...

I am referring to the computer that handles Avg. MPG, Avg. Speed, Miles to 0, etc. BMW factory Owner's Manuals refer to this it as "Computer." The controls for "Computer" are labled "BC"

Button applies to Biz CD & tape, but not all. That is the part I don't understand. Further, I think the units with BC control on the MID may have more features than those without.

I have an 02 3.0 and I have the control on both the stock and the MID. I think the producton date is January. Hope this helps.
